financial opportunity
falconer asked:

There are a lot of companies out there that hire you to make financial consultant, some of them seem serious while others look like they would hire just anyone even without financial background. Some requires you to take series 6 and 7exams to be able to trade securities but after all they all seem like sales positions like telemarketers. I’d appreciate if anybody with a deeper knowledge in this area answers. thanks

Yes, but a better industry to get into right now is credit counseling. Huge market.

The problem with these opportunities is that as you recognized yourself, there’s a lot of hustling, a lot of door-to-door selling (yuck) and a huge learning curve if you didn’t come into the field with a good head for finance. You’d be better off as a pharmaceutical sales rep than this unless you have the financial background, and IF you have the financial background and knowledge, you don’t need these companies. You can have a thriving practice all on your own.
